Mana Ecolodges is nestled in one of the most spectacular and untouched natural area of Europe, in western Algarve, at the border with the Costa Vicentina National park, the finest preserved stretch of European coastline, covering over 100 km. Just 10 minutes from Odeceixe, a small village with a charming character and a spectacular beach (which won the first prize of the 7 wonders of Portugal), few minutes from Rogil (with its hip cafes and restaurants) and 15 minutes from the medieval town of Aljezur. There is a tremendous variety of beaches in the area, including long stretches of sand and small beaches nestled between the cliffs and rocks. The landscape is marked by steep cliffs and untouched countryside with rolling hills. A special place that combines nature and local traditions, with authentic villages where people still live like in the old times.

Mana Ecolodges is only a few minutes drive from some glorious western Atlantic beaches – you may even be the only people there! And for those who don’t like ocean waves, some of the beaches offer a back river where the sea goes into the land and you can enjoy a quiet flat water. Some of the most beautiful beaches around are: Praia de Odeceixes, Praia do Amado, Praia do Vale dos Homens, Praia da Amoreira, Praia do Monte Clerigo, Praia da Arrifana, Praia da Bordeira

Mana Ecolodges is located in a Ecological reserve, where nature and wildlife are still intact, at the border with Costa Vicentina National Park. Rolling Hills, untouched  forests, open fields. There is everything that a landscape can offer. Places worth a visit: Costa Vicentina National park, the waterfalls and springs at Caldas de Monchique (+ 2)

 

CULTURE

Rich in cultural heritage, the area is surrounded by small traditional towns with their authentic traditions still alive. These twons are also the best place where to enjoy local food and buy typical products of the area, made in cork. For those who are looking for vibrants cities, the popular Lagos and Portimao are the answers, where streets are full of restaurants, shops and bars. Towns are worth a visit: Odeceixe, Odeimira, Aljezur, Sagres, (stork).: Lagos,
